Selkie
Every so often the selkie folk would come ashore to dance by the light of the moon, and take delight in their human form. But when her pelt was taken, a selkie could not return to the waters. She was stripped of her wildness and freedom, destined to live a life on land until her seal skin was found. Only then could she answer to the calling of the sea.
